Final Results

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Butler's Ally Ross finished fifth individually at the BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship Presented by JEEP. Her effort led the Bulldogs, who placed fifth as a team.
 
The three-day, 54-hole event concluded Saturday in Pine Mountain, Ga.
 
Ross carded a one-over 73 for the second consecutive round and finished at two-over 218 for the tournament. She improved her position on the leaderboard by one spot Saturday to move into fifth. In Saturday's final round, Ross had four birdies on the 6,073-yard Mountain View course at Callaway Gardens.
 
Xavier picked up its third consecutive BIG EAST team title, finishing at 878 (+14) and 14 shots ahead of second-place Georgetown. Butler came in fifth among the six-team field with a score of 919. The Bulldogs shot 304, 308 and 307 over the three rounds.
 
Xavier's Emma McMyler and Abby Kiefer, along with Katherine Lemke of Creighton, tied for lead at 213 (-3). Lemke won the playoff to take the individual medalist honors.
 
Claire Edwards finished in a tie for 19^th in the standings at 232 (+16). She shot 78 Saturday after matching 77s in each of her first two rounds. Alaina Bowie carded a five-over 77 Saturday and finished at 234 (+18) and in 21^st place.
 
Katie Steinman was one shot behind Bowie after a final-round 79. Her 19-over 235 tied her for 22^nd. Madalin Small was 29^th at 243.
 
The championship served as the final event of the 2021-22 season for the Bulldogs.
