Scouting Indiana
The Hoosiers took two of three from Nebraska over the weekend to improve their overall record to16-23. They will play as the home team on Tuesday night at Butler before traveling to Illinois State on Wednesday night for more midweek action. Their next Big Ten series will feature three games in Bloomington against Illinois.
Bobby Whalen, Josh Pyne, and Phillip Glasser are the top three players in the Indiana batting order. Whalen has a team-best 54 hits in 39 starts to post a .333 batting average. Pyne and Glasser each have 49 hits heading into Tuesday's tilt. Other players to keep an eye on include Matthew Ellis and Carter Mathison. Ellis leads the team and conference in home runs (12) and paces the Hoosiers with 42 RBI's. Mathison has 10 homers on the season with eight doubles and a triple for 34 RBI.

McDaniel on the Mound
Cole McDaniel is 2-2 on the mound this season with a 6.32 ERA. He has 21 strikeouts in 31.1 innings of action and will make this eighth start of the year Tuesday evening. McDaniel's last start came against Northern Kentucky on April 19. He tossed 3.2 innings of ball, leaving the hill after 68 pitches.
Holt Got Hot
Travis Holt hit .450 last week over a span of five games. The BU shortstop recorded a hit in every contest and ended the week with three doubles and a home run to post five RBI. He scored seven runs, walked twice and stole three bases. Holt's on-base percentage last week was .522 and with four extra base hits he posted a .750 slugging percentage.
Hitting Streak
Kollyn All has the longest current hitting streak on the team at seven games. A hit against Indiana on Tuesday would tie him with three other Bulldogs for the longest streak of the season.

Ryan O'Halloran all have eight game hitting streaks in 2022.
All Tied Up
Butler and St. John's tied on Sunday. The two clubs ended nine innings of action dead even at 12-12. Due to a travel curfew ruling, the Bulldogs and Johnnies had to call the game in order for the Bulldogs to travel back to Indianapolis. The last time Butler tied an opponent was back in 2011. They hosted Milwaukee and tied the Panthers 11-11 on May 15.

James Gargano has played in 40 games this year, moving his career total to 179. With 17 more games on the schedule, Gargano is looking at playing in 196 games at Butler. The school record is 210 games, set by Eddie Olszla (98-01).
RBI Radar
Gargano has six RBI over his last two games, pushing his career total to 95. He now has six multi-RBI games this season which ties him for the team lead with
Aaron Steinhart.

Travis Holt and
Ryan O'Halloran have started in all 41 games for Butler this season. Holt has either played as the leadoff man or moved to third in the order for the Bulldogs. He's also 41-for-41 as the team's starting shortstop. O'Halloran has hit two, four, five and sixth this year. 40 of his 41 starts have been at third base. He did make one start at second base.
Out of the BIG EAST
Butler is 16-16 in non-conference games this season. They faced nationally-ranked teams on March 22 and April 5 with contests at #1 Tennessee and #6 Notre Dame. Big Ten foes on the schedule thus far have included Northwestern (2x) and Illinois. BU will also play at Purdue on May 10.
Season-High Marks set at St. John's
On April 24, Butler scored 12 runs off 16 hits with 12 RBI and 23 total bases. Those numbers either tied or set new season-high totals for the Bulldogs.
