The Butler women's lacrosse team will host Villanova for Senior Day on Saturday, April 30. First draw is set for noon.
 
The Bulldogs will honor Seniors

Lindsey Schreiber, 
Gabryelle Bodine, 
Holly Hall, 
Madison Farron, 
Mary Heitkemper, 
Katie McGrath, and 
Layla Tattersfield. The ceremony will take place prior to the start of the game. 
 
Bulldog Bits:
 
- 11 new Bulldogs joined the team this season and are a part of one of Butler's strongest recruiting classes in program history
- 
Campbell Connors has 40 goals and nine assists on the season
- 
Leah Rubino has 12 goals, five assists, 27 caused turnovers, and 50 draw controls
- 
Greer Bireley has 12 goals and 32 assists this season
- 
Lindsey Schreiber has 25 goals, 16 assists, and 45 draw controls this season
- 
Aleigh Monroe has played 504 minutes between the pipes this season, recording 61 saves
- 
Katie McGrath has played 311 minutes in goal and made 47 saves

Last Time Out
The Huskies beat the Bulldogs 22-15. UConn got on the board first when Madelyn George found the back of the net three minutes in. The Huskies scored five consecutive goals before 
Gabryelle Bodine found the back of the net on a feed from 
Lindsey Schreiber. Schreiber scored nearly a minute after Bodine. 
Campbell Connors scored two goals to close out the quarter. The Huskies held a 6-4 lead at the end of the first. 
 
The Huskies continued to press the Bulldogs and put eight goals in during the second. Bodine tallied one in the second for the Bulldogs, and 
Holly Hall tallied another. UConn took a 15-6 lead into halftime. 
 
Bodine got things started in the third for the Dawgs scoring seven minutes into the half off a feed from Schreiber. 
 
Ella Squibb got things started 30 seconds in to the fourth quarter on an unassisted effort. 
Campbell Connors scored the next two for the Dawgs, and 
Greer Bireley had the assist on Connors first goal of the quarter. Bireley and 
Leah Rubino helped get the momentum going, and the Bulldogs scored eight unanswered goals. UConn's Lauren Barry scored with just under two minutes left for UConn's first tally of the fourth.
 
Scouting the Wildcats
In their most recent outing, the Wildcats fell to Denver, 16-8. The Wildcats had four players combine for their eight goals. Caroline Curnal had three, Olivia Piccirilli had two, Sydney Pappas had two, and Jessie Lee had one. 
 
Curnal leads Villanova this season with 36 goals, and Pappas is second in scoring with 30. Curnal is also the team draw specialist and has recorded 116 draw controls this season. Alexa Moro has played 892 minutes between the pipes and has registered 136 saves. Sydney Frank is the anchor of the Wildcat defense with 13 caused turnovers and 26 groundballs this season.

The Bulldogs 2021-2022 season will conclude after Saturday as they did not qualify for post-season play.
