SOUTH BEND, Ind- Notre Dame pushed past Butler 5-2 at Frank Eck Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Alex Voss took the loss on the mound (0-2), Jack Finlay earned the win, and Austin Temple was credited with the save.

Butler got an early lead over the Fighting Irish as they scored two runs off of three hits in the first. Travis Holt and Aaron Steinhart scored for the Bulldogs. However, the Irish would respond at the bottom of the first with a solo home run by Jack Brannigan.

Notre Dame tied things up in the second with a leadoff double by Ryan Cole and an RBI single from Nick Juaire — the score was tied 2-2. The Irish would take the lead at the bottom of the sixth with runners on second and third; Zack Prajzner hit to third, and Cole scored. Juaire scored off a Bulldog error, and Prajzner scored later in the inning, securing the 5-2 win.

The Bulldogs saw Steinhart go 2-4 from the plate with an RBI. Cole McDaniel and Lukas Galdoni both struck out two of the nine batters they faced.

Butler will return to action this weekend at Villanova, where they play Friday at 3 PM, Saturday at 1 PM, and Sunday at noon.
