Ross's 71 included five birdies on the par-72, 5,910-yard University Club at Arlington course. She finished the 54-hole event at four-over 220 and alone in third place. Only one player in the field Tuesday shot better than her 71; Ross entered the final round in a tie for seventh.

Eastern Kentucky's Ragga Kristinsdottir won the event at 212 (-4).

Eastern Kentucky University hosted the event over the past two days in Richmond, Ky.

As a team, the Bulldogs climbed three shots on the leaderboard Tuesday to move into eighth place. There were 13 teams in the field. The Bulldogs shot 297 Tuesday, which was the second-best round of the day behind only eventual champion Eastern Kentucky.

Butler's 297 also was significantly better than their Monday scores of 313 and 310. Butler finished with a total of 920 (+56).

The host Colonels won the event at 878 (+14), which was 22 shots better than second-place Georgia State (900; +36).

Claire Edwards tied for 22nd at 12-over 228; she shot 74 on Tuesday, which was her best round of the event. Madalin Small's 73 Tuesday moved her up to a tie for 55th at 238 (+22).

Alaina Bowie (242; +26) and Katie Steinman (245; +29) tied for 63rd and 68th, respectively. Nicole Jordan, playing as an individual, finished 73rd at 253 (+37).
