@ButlerWLacrosse Hosts Georgetown on Saturday

The Butler women's lacrosse team will host Georgetown at Varsity Field on Saturday, April 9. First draw is set for noon.
 
Bulldog Bits:
- Campbell Connors has 30 goals and five assists on the season
- Leah Rubino has nine goals, five assists, 23 caused turnovers, and 44 draw controls
- Greer Bireley has eight goals and 25 assists this season
- Lindsey Schreiber has 19 goals, 12 assists, and 31 draw controls this season
- Aleigh Monroe has played 420 minutes between the pipes this season, recording 54 saves
- Campbell Connors, Ella Squibb, Lindsey Schreiber, and Leah Rubino each had one goal 
- Gabryelle Bodine, Hannah Dove, KK Callaghan, and Morgan Cox all had two goals each against 
- Tessa Fackrell, Sloan Trapp, Peyton Moroney, Grace Hensley, Kaley Attaway, Kayla Kielbasa, and Ellie Eisenklam all scored one goal
- Morgan Cox and Julia Putzi had three assists each
- Madison Farron had two assists
- Greer Bireley had four assists 
- The Bulldogs won 20 draw controls and had 12 caused turnovers
- Leah Rubino led the Bulldogs in the circle with five draw controls
- Katie McGrath, Aleigh Monroe, and Caroline Smith combined for the win
 
Last Time Out
On Tuesday, the Bulldogs moved to above .500 on the season with a 21-2 win over the St. Am-brose Fighting Bees. The Dawgs had 17 different goal scorers in the game, and all three goalies saw action.
 
In the first quarter, the Bulldogs came out of the gates hot, scoring eight unanswered goals before St. Ambrose found the back of the net. The quarter finished 11-1 with Campbell Connors, Gabryelle Bodine, Kaley Attaway, Ellie Eisenklam, Leah Rubino, Grace Hensley, Lindsey Schreiber, KK Callaghan, Tessa Fackrell, and Greer Bireley all tallying goals.
 
In the second, Butler scored two goals. Junior Morgan Cox scored the first on a feed from Eisenkalm, and Julia Putzi scored the second on a feed from Cox. The Bulldogs took a 13-2 lead into the half. 
 
Aleigh Monroe came in to replace Katie McGrath at the start of the third quarter, who played the whole first half between the pipes and recorded one save. Monroe held St. Ambrose scoreless in the third and recorded one save. Cox scored the first goal of the third on a feed from Putzi to put the Dawgs up 14-2. Hannah Dove, Kayla Kielbasa, and Callaghan all tallied one in the third as well.
 
Caroline Smith started the final quarter of action between the pipes for the Bulldogs. Sloan Trapp, Peyton Moroney, and Hannah Dove all recorded goals in the fourth to secure the victory for the Bulldogs.  

Scouting the Hoyas
The Hoyas are led by Senior Ali Diamond, who has 20 goals and 11 assists this season. This season, the Hoyas have eight different players with double-digit goals, and they have tallied 151 goals so far. Emily Gaven has played 720 minutes this season and has registered 87 saves. 
 
In their last outing, the Hoyas took down Villanova 13-11. Erin Bakes had four goals, and Ali Diamond had two goals and four assists. Georgetown comes into the contest with a 6-6 overall record and a 1-0 in conference record. This will be the sixth meeting between the two programs since their inception. The Hoyas hold a 5-0 series advantage.

The Bulldogs will travel to Milwaukee to take on Marquette on Saturday, April 16. First draw is set for 1 PM.
