INDIANAPOLIS -- The Butler women's basketball team will play 15 regular season games inside Hinkle Fieldhouse this year with the opener set for Wednesday, Nov. 9 against Chicago State. The first chance for fans to see the team in action this season will be Nov. 5 in an exhibition game against Benedictine (IL).

The non-conference slate includes nine games. Five at home, two on the road and two at a neutral site in the Florida Atlantic Thanksgiving Tournament. After the opener vs. Chicago State, the Bulldogs will stay in Indianapolis to host IUPUI on Sunday, Nov. 13. The first road test of the 2022-23 campaign will send Butler to Ball State on Nov. 17. BU will then return to Hinkle Fieldhouse on Nov. 21 to host Tennessee State.

The two-day Florida Atlantic Thanksgiving Tournament will feature Butler playing Sacred Heart and Binghamton. Games will be held on Nov. 25-26.

Butler will host Southern Indiana on Dec. 7, and then wrap up the non-conference slate with a pair of Big Ten opponents. The Bulldogs will host Illinois on Dec. 11 before traveling to Bloomington to face the Indiana Hoosiers on Dec. 21.

BIG EAST competition opens at home for Butler this year with the Bulldogs playing host to St. John's (Dec. 2) and DePaul (Dec. 4) opening weekend. The next three conference games will be on the road for BU before the start of 2023. That stretch includes trips to Marquette (Dec .18), Xavier (Dec. 28) and Seton Hall (Dec. 31).

Fans will flock to Hinkle Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Jan. 3 when the team hosts UConn at 7 PM on the SNY network. Two road games follow that tilt with BU facing Villanova (Jan. 8) and Georgetown (Jan. 11).

A national audience will be able to see Butler play live on Saturday, Jan. 14 when the team hosts Creighton on FS1. The 10th home game of the year will follow that contest when the Providence Friars fly to Indy for a matchup on Jan. 18.

The conference schedule flips after the Friar game and Butler will then head to UConn for a contest on Saturday, Jan. 21. The Bulldogs will stay on the east coast to play the Red Storm on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

The home stretch of the conference schedule includes BU playing at Hinkle Fieldhouse in five of their final eight contests. Marquette (Jan. 29), Villanova (Feb. 4), Georgetown (Feb. 15), Xavier (Feb. 21), and Seton Hall (Feb. 24) round out the home schedule. The three road trips sprinkled in during the final month of the season sends BU to DePaul (Feb. 8), Providence (Feb. 11) and Creighton (Feb. 27).
