Results 

Three Butler freshmen and a majority of the roster opened the season with the 2022 Vredevelt Invitational hosted by Western Michigan.

The Bulldogs were joined in the event by the host Broncos, Cleveland State, Navy, DePaul and Chicago State.

Freshman Aidan William earned All-Tournament Team honors as one of seven players over the weekend to post a 3-0 singles record.

Zach Trimpe and Michael Karr each posted 2-1 records in singles play, while a trio of Butler doubles teams each won a pair of matches: Borja Miralles and Trimpe, Karr and William, and Thomas Brennan and Alvaro Huete Vadillo.

The Bulldogs next return to action as a team Oct. 7 at the Ball State Invitational.
