Butler's Damon Dickey holds the 36-hole lead following a strong Monday at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State.
 
Dickey's Monday scores of 68 and 66 have him at eight-under 134 entering Tuesday's final round. Dickey birdied 12 of his 36 holes Monday on the par-71, 6,811-yard Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio.
 
Dickey's performance led a Butler effort that also has the Bulldogs in the team lead after back-to-back rounds of 277 (-7). The Bulldogs' total of 554 (-14) is two shots better than Bowling Green (556) and nine shots clear of third-place Oakland (563). There are 15 teams in the field.
 
Four different Bulldogs posted rounds of 68 or better on Monday, including the two rounds from Dickey. Daniel Tanaka is tied for sixth after rounds of 68 and 69. He is three shots back of Dickey. Derek Tabor and Will Horne also posted 68s on Monday.
 
IUPUI's Taylor Gardner shot an eight-under 63 in the morning round, taking a four-shot lead over the field into the afternoon session. Gardner is second to Dickey by a single shot (135, -7), while a trio of players are tied for third at six-under 136.
