Katie Steinman's second-round 66 Monday was the round of the day at the Butler Fall Invitational. Her 36-hole total of 139 (-1) has her in second place and just two shots off the lead entering the final round.
 
Steinman's afternoon four-under 66 was the round of the day by two strokes among the 100-player field. Her round featured five birdies against a single bogey on Butler's home course, the par-70, 6,040-yard Highland Country Club.
 
Steinman enters the final round two shots behind Dasa Urbankova of UIC, who shot rounds of 68 and 69 Monday to finish at three-under 137.
 
Steinman is joined in the Top 10 by her Butler teammate Lily Celentano, who is tied for fifth at two-over 142.
 
The Bulldogs are third among the 16-team field after rounds of 293 and 286. UIC holds the 36-hole lead at 572 (+12), followed by Morehead State (575; +15) and Butler (579; +19).
