Brooke Arington has signed a national letter of intent to join the Butler women's tennis program, beginning with the 2024-25 season.
Â
The standout from Cincinnati, Ohio is the first signee for head coach Stephanie Wooten-Quijada since she was hired at Butler in August.
Â
"We are thrilled to add Brooke to our Butler Family," said Wooten. "She encompasses all the qualities we look for in a student, athlete and person. She is a multi-sport athlete who understands how to be a great teammate."Â
Â
Arington is a four-year varsity member on the Indian Hill High School tennis team, and led her team to a state championship. The team captain and team MVP has earned both Conference Player of the Year and District Player of the Year honors while at Indian Hill. Her team posted a perfect 21-0 record over the last season.
Â
She is an Academic Scholar Award honoree who plans to major in business.
Â
"I chose Butler because of its amazing community and support, campus, academics, and overall atmosphere," said Arington. "Butler is the perfect balance of an athletic, academic, and social experience, while also not being too far away from home. I am so excited to spend the next four years at Butler! Go Dawgs!"
