For the third time this season, the Butler track and field team made the trip up north on Saturday to South Bend, Ind. for the Alex Wilson Invitational.

At the meet hosted by Notre Dame, eight different Butler student-athletes stood atop the podium. 


Lucy Czirjak had two outstanding performances in the field, setting new personal bests. She won the long jump with a distance of 5.08 meters and finished in the triple jump at 10.89 meters. 

The Butler women's 4x400 relay team made up of Jenna Doezema, Reagan Kelly, Grace Stedge and Abby Brennan secured the win at 3:57.55.

On the men's side, Drew Herman and Sean Davies finished top two in the men's high jump at 1.93 meters and 1.83 meters. 

Zac Stanley took home the crown in the men's long jump at 6.85 meters. 

On the track, Jack Elder earned first in the men's 60 meter hurdles crossing the finish line at 8.29

Other notable finishes:
  • Gavin Cougle finished second in the men's 200 meters at 21.66. 
  • Max Wilhelm placed third in the men's 60 meter hurdles at 8.59.
  • Karmen Koch earned third in the women's 60 meter hurdles at 9.25 
  • Katherine Olsen and Morgan Walsh finished together in the women's 800 meters placing sixth and seventh at 2:11.73 and 2:12.22.
  • Andrew Taylor clocked a time of 4:17 .31 in the men's mile to place seventh. 
The Bulldogs will head to Chicago for the BIG EAST Indoor Championship on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25.
