Day Two Results

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. -- At the close of the second day of the 2023 BIG EAST Swim and Dive Championships Presented by JEEP, the Butler swim moved to sixth place with 223 total points. The Bulldogs set a new school record in the 200 Free Relay and multiple other student-athletes made the BU Top 10 All-Time List.
 
Emily Landwehr (23.91), Alani Hightower-Bend (23.49), Olivia Stotts (23.40) and Abigail Roberts (23.09) represented Butler in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The group set a new BU school record with a time of 1:33.89 to earn fifth place.
 
Landwehr, Roberts and Hightower-Bend were also active for BU in the 50 Free. Landweher posted a personal-best time of 23.62 to finish 11th and move to second all-time on the BU Top Ten list. Hightower-Bend was 16th overall and eighth in the B Final with a time of 23.89. Roberts posted a personal-best time of 23.81 to place 18th overall and second in the C Final.
 
Caroline Zimner was Butler's top swimmer in the 500 Yard Free. She placed 15th overall with a time of 5:00.89. Her season-best time also ranks second all-time at Butler.
 
In the 200 IM, Butler had Kate Schilling and Allie Carmichael in action. Schilling just missed her fall school record by .10. She placed fourth with a time of 2:02.99. Carmichael achieved a personal-best in the prelims with a time of 2:08.18. She finished 24th in the final with a time of 2:10.19.
 
Day three begins at 10 a.m. ET with the prelims of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and women's 1-meter dive. The diving prelims are scheduled for 1 p.m.
