The Butler women's lacrosse team will travel to Detroit, Michigan, for a matchup with Detroit Mercy on Sunday, Feb. 26, at noon. The game will be played at Titan Field on the Detroit Mercy campus.
 
Bulldog Bits

• Maggie Zentgraf is in her first season as head coach at Butler. Zentgraf takes over for Cecil Pilson, who was the team's head coach since the program started in 2017. She previously coached at Division III Lake Forest, going 11-4 in the program's first-ever season.
• The Bulldogs went 6-9 in the 2022 season, setting a program-record in wins.
• The Bulldogs lacrosse team returns 28 players from the 2022 roster and welcomes 10 new players to the roster.
• The team averaged 13.2 goals per game in 2022, up from 7.58 goals per game in 2021 and 6.88 in 2020.
• Last season's defense gave up an average of 13.73 goals per game.
• With 61 career goals, Campbell Connors is now five goals away from becoming the program's all-time leader.
• After logging a caused turnover against Kent State, Leah Rubino is now the Butler all-time leader with 60 caused turnovers.
• Eight different Bulldogs scored a goal in their last matchup against Kent State on Feb. 18.
• The Bulldogs are averaging 14.5 goals over their first two games.

Last Time Out
Butler enters this game coming off an 11-16 defeat in their home opener to Kent State. The Bulldogs were down big early, trailing 9-1 at one point in the second period and 11-5 at halftime. Butler would outscore the Golden Flashes 6-5 in the second half, but never pulled the lead to within less than six goals. Butler's 11 goals were split among eight Bulldogs with Kayleigh Colleary, Lauren Dunne and KK Callaghan each scoring two goals.

Scouting Detroit Mercy

• Series record- Butler trails, 2-3.
• The last meeting between the teams resulted in an 18-5 win on March 6, 2022.
• The Titans' last matchup was a narrow 11-10 win over Xavier on Feb. 19. Freshman Ysa Pakowski's first collegiate goal was the go-ahead goal.
• Annie Gilbert led Detroit Mercy with three goals against Xavier.
