CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Butler took a 7-2 loss to Southeast Missouri on Saturday afternoon. SEMO scored seven runs off 10 hits and the 'Dawgs were limited to just two runs off five hits.
Ian Choi highlighted the day for BU with a solo home run in the third.
SEMO scored two runs in the first and one more in the second to own an early 3-0 lead after two innings. Choi's homer to left got BU on the board, but the game shifted in the fourth with the Redhawks scoring four runs off four hits. Resetich, Leeper and Mason all homered in the fourth to break the game wide open.
Cole Graverson and
Dawson Taylor toed the rubber for BU. Graverson moved to 0-2 on the bump. He struck out four over 3.1 innings, but walked three. All seven runs were earned against Graverson before he handed the game ball off to Taylor for the final 4.2.
