Bulldog Bits 

  • Maggie Zentgraf is in her first season as head coach at Butler. She previously coached at Division III Lake Forest, going 11-4 in the program's first-ever season.  

  • The Bulldogs went 6-9 in the 2022 season, setting a program-record in wins. 

  • With 64 career goals, Campbell Connors is now two goals away from becoming the program's all-time leader.  

  • Prior to Tuesday's game against Cincinnati, Butler ranked second in the Big East in shots on goal per game with 22.6. 

  • The Bulldogs also ranked second in the Big East in draw controls with 17.8 per contest prior to Tuesday. 

Last Time Out 

Butler's last game saw the Bulldogs take a tough 17-3 defeat at Cincinnati on March 22. Butler had season-lows in goals (3) and shots (10) against the Bearcats. Kate Kaptrosky led the team in scoring with two goals in the contest. 

Scouting Detroit Mercy 

  • Series record: Tied at  3-3 

  • The last meeting ended in an 12-10 win for the Bulldogs on Feb. 26, 2023. 

  • The Titans are on a three-game losing streak, with their last win coming against Xavier on Feb. 19. 

  • Detroit Mercy's most recent game ended in a 15-9 loss to Lindenwood on March 17. Charlotte Dale led the team in points with three (two goals, one assist). 

  • Detroit Mercy is allowing 15.8 goals per game to their opponents. 

Scouting Eastern Michigan 

  • This is the first ever meeting between the Eagles and the Bulldogs. 

  • Eastern Michigan's last contest saw the Eagles lose 18-5 to Marquette on March 24. Mackenzie Blackwell led the team in goals with two. 

  • The Eagles are on a four-game losing streak, with their last win coming on March 7 against Delaware State. 

  • Eastern Michigan has made 10+ saves in each of their last three games.
