@ButlerXCTF complete busy weekend at the Indiana Invitational and Rick Erdmann Twilight

The Butler track and field split up once again with half of the team traveling to Lexington, KY for the Rick Ermann Twilight on Saturday while the rest of the team remained in the Hoosier State to compete at the Indiana Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

At the Rick Ermann Twilight, the Bulldogs secured a pair of second-place finishes in the 1,500 meters.

Angelina Ellis earned the silver but was the first collegiate athlete across the finish line. Her mark of 4:21.13 crushed her lifetime best and currently ranks as the ninth fastest time in the Big East conference.

On the men's side, the race came down to the final stretch, where Simon Bedard cruised to second at 3:45.84. Bedard was less than a second behind the winner of Eastern Kentucky's Ahmed Kadri at 3:45.71.

In the Hoosier State, the Bulldogs claimed a trio of podium finishes at the Indiana Invitational.

Renate Toldo took home the win in the women's 3,000 meters at 10:18.13. Toldo earned a new personal best in her third different event this month.

Nate Lantz clocked in at 8:28.57 to place third in the men's 3,000 meters. Lantz scratched nearly 20 seconds off his previous lifetime best.

In the field, Drew Herman earned third in the men's high jump. His mark of 2.03 meters (6' 7.75") was a new season best and currently ranks as the best height in the conference.

Carter Schorr came in fourth for the men's 3,000 meters at 8:35.46
Ashley Learn finished fourth in the women's 3,000 meters at 10:36.08
Jenna Doezema placed fourth in the women's 400-meter hurdles at 1:03.73
Zac Stanley earned fourth in the men's 400 meters at 48.62

The Butler track and field team will regroup and head west to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays from April 26-28.
