Freshman Kenny Leseur took medalist honors at the IU-Kokomo Spring Invitational over the weekend. The 36-hole tournament was shortened to 18 holes Saturday due to weather conditions.

Leseur was one of four Bulldogs who played as individuals at the event.

Leseur carded an even-par 72 in cold, blustery conditions at Wildcat Creek Golf Course. That gave him a five-shot victory.

Bulldogs took the top three spots on the individual leaderboard as Derek Tabor and Henry Quinn finished second and third, respectively. Tabor shot 77 (+5), one shot better than Quinn.

The fourth Bulldog in the field was freshman Leo Zurovac, who tied for fifth with a round of 81.

There were a total of 43 players in the field. Of the universities who fielded full teams, host IU-Kokomo took the team title with a score of 332.

The Bulldogs return to action this weekend at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Indiana in Bloomington on Saturday and Sunday.
