Villanova Pa. — The Butler men's and women's track and field teams will head to the Jumbo Elliott Track at Villanova Stadium from May 11-13 for the BIG EAST Outdoor Track Championships.

Men
The Bulldogs distance team will have two quartets in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. Barry Keane and Simon Bedard, Will Minnette and William Zegarski are on the heat sheet for the 5,000 meters, with Keane and Minnette joining Nick Doud and Jack McMahon in the 10,000 meters.

Current Big East leaders include Bedard in the 5,000 meters and Keane in the 10,000 meters. Keane will look to defend his BIG EAST title in the 10,000 meters after claiming the top spot in Connecticut last season.

Matthew Forrester is also entered to compete in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.

In the middle distance, Bedard will double up in the 1,500 meters while Liam Dennis plans to compete in the 800 meters.

The sprints team will consist of Michael Beros and Zac Stanley (400-meter dash), Max Wilhelm (110 meter hurdles) and Jimmy Davis (400 meter hurdles). The 4x100 meter relay team of Ben Bradley, Luke Finnegan, Jack Elder and Gavin Cougle are also entered in the heat sheets.

In the field, the Bulldogs will have three entrants including Jack Elder (decathlon and pole vault), Drew Herman (high jump) and Sean Davies (high jump). Elder and Herman enter with conference-best marks in the decathlon and high jump.

Women
In the distance races, Mia Beckham and Elsa Rusthoven plan to race in the 5,000 meters while Laure Bertrand and Abby Olson are on the heat sheets for the 10,000 meters.

Angelina Ellis will look to better her program record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase set earlier in the season at 9:44.57. Ellis is the current Big East leader in the event and ranks nationally as the third-best time in NCAA Division I.

The Bulldogs will have four student athletes in the sprints including Jade Cadichon (100 meters), Grace Stedge (200 meters), Reagan Kelly (400 meters) and Jenna Doezema (400-meter hurdles). Morgan Walsh is also on the heat sheet for the 800 meters.

The quartet of Kelly, Stedge, Walsh and Sage Brown are slated to race in the 4x400 relay.

In the field, Butler has four athletes competing in multiple events. Niki Ezeh, Karmen Koch and Remi Beckham are all listed on the heat sheets for the heptathlon. Koch is also entered in the javelin throw and high jump followed by Ezeh in the shot put and Beckham in the high jump.
