Two student-athletes on the Butler men's golf team –
Henry Quinn and
Raymond Sullivan– have been recognized by College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District®.
The 2023 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21.
Quinn, from Arlington Heights, Illinois, played in seven of the team's events this season, totaling 17 rounds. His scoring average of 73.88 included three rounds at par or better. His competitions included the 2023 BIG EAST Match Play event, and the sophomore finished third at the IU-Kokoma Spring Invitational.
Sullivan, from Lemont, Illinois, finished third on the team with a scoring average of 73.43. His 23 rounds came from eight of the team's events along with the BIG EAST Match Play, in which he went 2-1-0. The graduate student completed nine of his rounds at par or better, finishing second at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational and in the Top 10 at the Butler Don Benbow Spring Invitational in which he tied for sixth.
