Butler's Angelina Ellis earned All-American honors Saturday night at the NCAA Championships, finishing ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase final.

Ellis crossed the line in Austin, Texas in a time of 9:55.53, taking home second-team All-America recognition.

Olivia Markezich of Notre Dame took the NCAA title in a time of 9:25.03, which was a personal-best for the junior who brought the top time from Thursday's semifinal into Saturday's race. Greta Karinauskaite of Cal Baptist finished second in 9:30.85.

Ellis is the third Bulldog to earn All-American honors at this year's NCAA Championships. Barry Keane finished seventh in the 10,000 meters Wednesday night to take first-team honors, while Simon Bedard picked up second-team accolades following his 14th-place result in Friday's 5,000 meters.

For Ellis, Keane and Bedard, their respective races in Austin were the final competition in a Butler uniform.
