Butler Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

The Bulldogs will get early looks at courses that will comprise the postseason as Butler announced its 2023 cross country schedules Wednesday, Aug. 9.
 
Butler's men and women will spend a majority of the season traveling together as the two programs only have one difference on their schedules.
 
The Bulldogs will host their lone meet of the season Friday, Oct. 20, welcoming teams to Carmel, Ind., and the Northview Church Course for the Stan Lyons Invitational.
 
Butler opens the season Sept. 1 at the Vic Godfrey Open in Kenosha, Wis. The Wayne E. Dannehal Cross Country Course utilized for that meet will also host the 2023 BIG EAST Championships Oct. 28.
 
On Friday, Oct. 13, the Bulldogs will travel to Verona, Wis., for the Nuttycombe Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin. That Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course will also be the site of the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Nov. 10.
 
Butler's men will also compete Sept. 23 in an event hosted by the University of Virginia on the Panorama Farms Cross Country Course in Earlysville, Va., the site of the 2023 NCAA Championships Nov. 18. Butler's women will not make that Sept. 23 trip to Virginia, but will travel to the Louisville Cross Country Classic Sept. 30.
 
The Butler men finished 21st nationally at the 2022 NCAA Championships, highlighting an impressive campaign that also included Barry Keane earning All-America honors with his 17th-place finish at the national meet.
 
Butler's women finished fifth at the 2022 BIG EAST Championships and were represented at the NCAA Championships by Mia Beckham.
