Butler Women Take Jaguar Invitational

Butler's women picked up their second consecutive win to open the 2023 season, taking the IUPUI Jaguar Invitational Friday.
 
The Bulldogs ran to victory on the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville, Ind.
 
Wiktoria Klebowska paced the Bulldogs for the second race in a row, tackling the 5k course in a time of 17:39.9. That was good for second overall. Her Butler teammates Elsa Rusthoven and Abby Olson took the third and fourth individual spots, securing the team title for the Bulldogs.

Madison King of Purdue Fort Wayne won the race in a time of 17:17.0.
 
Caitlin Rose, who arrived at Butler this fall as a graduate transfer from Arizona State, ran unattached in the event.

UP NEXT: The Butler men travel to Earlysville, Va., Saturday (Sept. 23) for the Virginia Invitational. The course will be used later in the season for the NCAA Championships. Butler's women are next in action Sept. 30 at Louisville.
