Sophomore Nicolas Arts earned All-Tournament Team honors as the Bulldogs opened the 2023-24 season over the weekend at the Vredevelt Invitational hosted by Western Michigan.
 
The hidden duals format included the host Broncos along with Youngstown State and fellow BIG EAST member DePaul.
 
In doubles play, three Butler pairs posted 2-1 records: Nicholas Balthazor and Nicholas Shirley, Arts and Siddhartha Lama, and Rahulniket Konakanchi and Arnesh Singh.
 
Shirley won all three of his singles matches, while Arts, Aidan William and Patrick Joss each posted 2-1 marks in individual play.
 
The Bulldogs' next event begins Saturday (Sept. 30) as Butler travels to Muncie for the Ball State Invitational.
