The Butler women posted a ninth-place finish in the gold race of Saturday's Louisville Cross Country Classic.

Wiktoria Klebowska was the top performer for the Bulldogs, placing 24^th as she completed the 5k Tom Sawyer State Park course in a time of 17:33.6.

In the team standings, the top spots went to Grand Valley State, Adams State, Eastern Michigan, Louisville and Purdue. Butler's ninth-place finish came in ahead of accomplished teams such as Clemson, UCF, Xavier, Marshall, Rice, and Eastern Kentucky. There were 36 teams in the field.
