The Butler men's tennis team opened their season with a 5-2 loss to Ball State on Friday afternoon at the Butler Bubble. 
 
Borja Miralles won the first singles match of the season for the Bulldogs. Miralles defeated Mason Tran in three sets (6-3, 4-6, 6-3).
 
In doubles play, Miralles and 
Arnesh Singh beat Eli Herran and Vince Orlando (6-3). In addition, 
Rahulniket Konakanchi and 
Patrick Joss defeated Sajin Smith and Nathaniel Webster (6-2).
 
The Bulldogs will be back in action Sunday, Jan. 21
st for a double header. The Bulldogs will take on Toledo at 10 AM and Marian (Ind.) at 5 PM. Both matches will be held at the Butler Bubble.
