The Butler men's tennis program clinched their first BIG EAST win of the season over Georgetown 4-3 on Saturday in Youngstown, Ohio.
BIG EAST Singles Player of the week
Rahulniket Konakanchi defeated Sahil Morey 6-1, 6-3. Sophomore
Nicolas Arts defeated Arthur O'Sullivan in a tight 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 finish. In addition, freshmen
Arnesh Singh beat Henry Williams 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 in a close win.
Konakanchi and
Patrick Joss defeated Akira Morgenstern and Arthur O'Sullivan in a tight 6-4 match. Konakanchi and Joss remain undefeated in doubles play thus far in the spring season. In addition,
Borja Miralles and Singh beat Burke Pablo and Henry Williams 6-2.
The Bulldogs will head to Cleveland, where they will take on Cleveland State tomorrow.
