The Butler women's golf program will be bolstered by the additions of Addi Kooi and Samantha Von Rohr. The duo signed with the Bulldogs and coach Christie Cates to continue their golf careers at Butler, beginning with the 2025-26 academic year.
 
"Samantha and Addi are accomplished junior golfers who will look to make an immediate impact next fall," said Cates. "Their passion for the game, combined with their competitive drive, aligns perfectly with the values and culture of our team."
 
Kooi is a local product, starring at Westfield High School.
 
She was the runner-up at the 2023 Indiana State Championships and followed that with a third-place individual finish at the 2024 Championship. She led Westfield to a runner-up finish as a team at the 2023 Championship in addition to conference championships in each of her four seasons.
 
Kooi is a three-time all-state honoree. She also plays tennis for Westfield and is a three-time Team MVP.

Von Rohr now plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., but started her prep career at Albany Academy in New York.
 
She qualified and competed in the Junior PGA Championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She won the 2023 HJGT Boston Junior Open and 2023 Onondaga Golf and CC Junior Invitational, as well as the 2024 HJGT Disney Fall Junior Open. She also posted Top3 finishes at the 2023 HJGT Disney Fall Junior Open, the 2023 HJGT Eagle Creek Junior Open, and the 2024 HJGT Summer College Prep Series at Penn State.
 
Von Rohr helped her Albany Academy team to the 2023 New York State Championship. She twice placed in the Top 20 individually at the state championships. In the New York Section 2 Girls Golf Championship, she won the individual title in 2022 and has two other Top 3 finishes.
