The Butler women's lacrosse team fell 15-8 to Eastern Michigan this afternoon in Ypsilanti, Mich. The Bulldogs now obtain a 1-7 record for the 2024 season, while the Eagles improve to 3-3.
The Eagles dominated in the first half of the match, not allowing a Butler goal until late in the second quarter.
Kayla Kielbasa scored an unassisted goal at the 0:34 mark to help the Bulldogs round out the first half, 9-1. The Bulldog's late surge gave them the momentum to start off the third quarter scoring four straight goals and not allowing any Eastern Michigan goals. Senior Midfielder
Leah Rubino scored back to back goals within the first four minutes of the second half. From then on then on the Bulldogs and Eagles were in a neck and neck fight. Due to the Eagles strength in the first half, the Bulldogs were unable to make a comeback.

The Butler women's lacrosse program will take on their first BIG EAST matchup of the season on Saturday, March 23. This Bulldogs will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on Xavier. The first draw is set for 11 a.m.
