The Butler men's tennis program clinched a 7-0 victory over Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are now 4-11 overall, while Southern Indiana sits at a 1-6 for the spring season.
The Bulldogs dominated the Screaming Eagles 6-0 in singles play.
Alvaro Huete Vadillo defeated Eytan Michaeli in 6-4, 6-0 contest in the No. 1 singles spot. Sophomore
Nicolas Arts clinched a 6-3, 7-5 win over Mathys Bove at No. 2 singles.
Borja Miralles also obtained a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Quinten Gillespie in Satuday's match.
Aidan William helped round out play for the Bulldogs in the No. 6 singles spot with a win over Blake Deaton, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles play, Huete and
Rahulniket Konakanchi defeated Axel Sabourin and Bove, 6-1 at No. 1 singles spot. While
Patrick Joss and
Nicholas Shirley obatained a 6-0 win over Dylan Brown and Guy Finkelstein.
The Butler men's tennis team will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on BIG EAST member, Xavier tomorrow afternoon.
