2024 BIG EAST Tournament Schedule Release
The Butler women's tennis team will be the No. 9 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST tournament announced by the conference on Monday. The Bulldogs will take on No. 8 seed Marquette on Thursday, April 18 in Cayce, S.C.
The Bulldogs are 12-10 overall for the 2024 spring season and are 1-5 in conference play. The Bulldogs fell 2-5 to the Golden Eagles in their final matchup of the regular season in Milwaukee, Wis.
In singles play, senior
Delaney Schurhamer has been a standout for the Bulldogs this season going 15-4 overall at No. 2 singles, including wins over BIG EAST member Georgetown and Marquette. While at doubles, Schurhamer and
Jordan Schildcrout have obtained a 11-5 record overall at the No. 2 doubles spot, while also clinching an early BIG EAST win over Georgetown.
The Men's and Women's Championship matches will be streamed live on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) on FloSports. Live coverage of the Men's Championship will begin on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET, while the live broadcast of the Women's Championship kicks off at 1 p.m.
Scouting Marquette
Marquette is 7-16 overall for the 2024 spring season and 2-4 in conference play. The Golden Eagles are 8-3 all time over the Bulldogs.
