Bulldog Bits:
- The Butler women's lacrosse team is currently 2-12 overall and 1-4 in the BIG EAST, after a hard-fought 17-14 loss to Lindenwood last Saturday at home.Â
- Senior midfielder Leah Rubino has recorded 41 goals so far this season, passing her total of 35 goals scored within a single season. Rubino is now one goal shy of tying Butler's leading single season scorer Campbell Connors. Connors has recorded a program high of 42 goals scored within a single season.Â
- Rubino currently leads the conference for the most caused turnovers per game with an average of 2.50. She ranks No. 5 overall in the nation for the most caused turnovers.Â
- Goalie Caroline Smith has accounted for 154 total saves throughout the 2024 season. She continues to lead the conference in saves and saves per game. Smith is currently tied with Central Conn. St.'s Kya Risher for fourth in the nation for the most saves per game with an average of 11.Â
- Attack Luci Selander currently ranks third all-time for the most points in a single season with 48. Selander leads the Bulldogs with the most points; she is ranked third in total points and fifth in points per game. Selander is five points away from passing Campbell Connors' 52 points scored within a single season.Â
- Selander and Delaney Hudson are currently tied for the most assists with 17 for the Bulldogs throughout the 2024 season. Selander and Hudson are tied for fifth in the BIG EAST with the most assists this season.Â
- Maggie Zentgraf is in her second season as head coach for the Bulldogs. Zentgraf is a former member of the Notre Dame women's lacrosse team. Zentgraf previously coached at Division III Lake Forest, going 11-4 in the program's first-ever season.Â
Scouting UConn:Â
- The UConn women's lacrosse team is led by Katie Woods. Woods is in her 13th season leading the Huskies.Â
- The Huskies are currently 8-6 overall and 3-1 in the BIG EAST. UConn leads the Bulldogs 6-0 all-time.Â
- Attack Rayea Davis currently leads the program with 39 goals and 53 points for the season. Davis is ranked fourth in the BIG EAST for the most point scored per game.Â
- Attack Abby Charron leads the Huskies with 22 assists on the season. Charron is ranked second in the conference with the most assists and assists per game.Â
