Bulldogs Wrap Up Weekend at the Gibson Invitational

The Butler track and field team remained in the Hoosier State to compete at the Gibson Invitational in Terre Haute this weekend.


Top Bulldog performances included:
  • Renate Toldo finished second in the women's 1,500 meters with a time of 4:36.41. Her mark was a new personal best.
  • William Zegarski ran unattached, but finished second in the men's 1,500 meters with a time of 3:49.52.
  • Zac Stanley earned a third place finish in the men's long jump with distance of 7.19 meters.
  • Both the men's 4x100 and women's 4x400 meter relay teams finished fourth. The men's quartet of Troy Larrison, Gavin Cougle, Ben Bradley and Luke Finnegan ran a time of 41.25 for a new season best. On the women's side, Abby Brennan, Reagan Kelly, Allie Minier, and Clara Reynolds combined to post a time of 3:59.50.
  • Caitlin Rose set a new lifetime best in the women's 1,500 meters with a mark of 4:40.19 to earn fifth.
  • Cabott Craft posted a new season best distance of 7.01 meters in the men's long jump to place fifth. He recorded a jump of 13.70 meters in the triple jump to finish seventh.

The Bulldogs will split up next weekend. One group is heading back to the west coast in Stanford, Calif., for the Payton Jordan Invitational on Friday, while the rest of the team will travel to Louisville, Ky., to race at the Clark Wood Invitational.
