Bulldog Bits:
- The Butler women's lacrosse team is currently 2-13 overall and 1-5 in the BIG EAST after falling to UConn last weekend in their last conference matchup.
- Attack Luci Selander is currently tied at first with Campbell Connors for the most points in a single season with 52. Selander leads the Bulldogs with the most points; she is ranked eighth in total points and second in points per game in the BIG EAST.Â
- Senior midfielder Leah Rubino has recorded 41 goals so far this season, passing her total of 35 goals scored within a single season. Rubino is now one goal shy of tying Butler's leading single season scorer Campbell Connors. Connors has recorded a program high of 42 goals scored within a single season.Â
- Goalie Caroline Smith has accounted for 166 saves throughout the 2024 season. She remains at the top of the conference in total saves and saves per game. Smith currently ranks fifth overall in the nation for the most saves and sixth for saves per game.Â
- Selander leads the team with 19 assists and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST for the most assists per game and seventh for total assists.Â
- Maggie Zentgraf is in her second season as head coach for the Bulldogs. Zentgraf is a former member of the Notre Dame women's lacrosse team. Zentgraf previously coached at Division III Lake Forest, going 11-4 in the program's first-ever season.Â
Scouting Detroit Mercy:Â
- The Detroit Mercy lacrosse team is led by Madeline Dugan. Dugan is in her first season as head coach. She served as an assistant coach the previous season.Â
- The Titans are 4-11 overall for the season and 3-3 in the Mid-American Conference.
- Senior attack Cat Kopchia leads the team with 55 points and 49 goals. Kopchia is ranked second in the conference for the most points this season and third for most points per game.Â
- Junior midfielder Maddy Camm leads the team with 14 assists.Â
