@ButlerXCTF Close Out Busy Weekend at the NCAA East First Round

The Bulldogs wrapped up successful weekend at the NCAA East First Round on Saturday night in Lexington, Ky.

3,000-Meter Steeplechase

Wiktoria Klebowska, who entered the event ranked 34th in the field,  jumped to eighth in her heat and 17th overall after running a time of 10:21.67.

NCAA Championship Qualifiers

Butler had three different student-athletes punch a ticket to the NCAA Championships this weekend.

Florian Le Pallec first earned a bid on Wednesday night in the 10,000 meters after placing ninth at 29:20.01. 

William Cuthbertson then followed on Friday night in the 800 meters earning the last qualifying bid with a mark of 1:46.51. He broke the program record finishing 10th in the event.

Jesse Hamlin was the last Bulldog to advance to Eugene in the 5,000 meters after crossing the line in 6th at 13:53.35.

The three Bulldog men will have a week off before then traveling to Eugene, Oregon to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships beginning on Wednesday, June 5.
