Beemer Adds 18 Recruits to Butler’s Baseball Roster

| By:
Butler baseball head coach Blake Beemer added 18 student-athletes to the program over the off-season, bringing in eight freshmen and 10 transfers. This group of newcomers includes 10 pitchers, three infielders, two catchers, two utility players and an outfielder.

"We're extremely excited to welcome this group of student-athletes to Butler," Beemer stated. "In a time where balance and depth is crucial, this class addresses a lot of areas of growth for us."

Butler's first practice at Bulldog Park is set for Monday, Sept. 23. The Bulldogs will scrimmage twice that weekend and again on Oct. 5. The Fall Ball slate continues with BU playing at Ball State on Oct. 12 and then hosting Harper College on Oct. 13.

"In this class we have seven 4-year transfers, three 2-year transfers, and eight true freshmen," Beemer added. "We addressed an obvious need to create more pitching depth by adding 10 pitchers, but supplemented the lineup with eight position players as well. There will be a lot of great competition this fall to move up the depth chart and I believe these newcomers are in great position to mold with our returning roster to move our baseball program forward in 2025."
