MUNCIE, Ind. – The Bulldogs had their first serve of the fall season, participating in three days of action at the 40th annual Ball State Fall Invitational at the Foster Adams Family Tennis Complex/Bill Richards Tennis Courts.
 
Butler faced off against the host Cardinals, BIG EAST rival Xavier, Dayton and IU Indy. The teams took a round robin approach to both singles and doubles, meeting up with each opponent.
 
Patrick Joss, Nicolas Arts and Nicholas Balthazor each posted 2-1 records in singles play throughout the weekend.
 
In doubles play, coach Sam Miles mixed up pairings throughout the three days as only one duo played together for multiple matches. Arnesh Singh and newcomer Riccardo Baldi won both of those matches.

The Bulldogs continue fall play next weekend at the Western Michigan Invitational. Butler will return to Muncie Sept. 28-29 for the Cardinal Invitational.
