The Bulldogs opened the first of four weeks of competition hosted by the Indiana State Fairgrounds at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic.

The meet featured 12 different teams including Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Illinois inside the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavillion.

Renate Toldo was the top finisher of the day for the Bulldogs after securing second in the women's 3,000 meters. She scratched 13 seconds off her personal best finsihing with a mark of 9:39.31.

On the men's side, Austin Gabay began his 2025 campaign in the 800 meters making the podium in third at 1:52.11. Cabott Craft led the way for Butler in the field tying his career-high 7.06 meters in the men's long jump to earn third. He added a fourth place finish in the triple jump at 13.95 meters.

Other top Bulldogs performers included:

• Allie Minier posted a mark of 1:36.72 in the women's 600 meters to take fourth
• Ashlyn Minton took sixth in the women's mile at 5:02.37
• Hannah Moore placed sixth in the women's 3,000 meters at 9:55.34
• Troy Larrision recorded a mark of 49.01 in the men's 400 meters to take sixth

The Bulldogs will return to the Farmer's Pavillion next week for the Crossroads of America Invitational beginning on Friday, Jan. 24.
