Dawgs Come Up Short in Season Opener at Northwestern

The Butler Women's Tennis team opened their season Saturday by traveling to Evanston,  Ill. to take on the Wildcats of Northwestern. Northwestern was able to pick up a 7-0 win in the season opener for both teams.  

Northwestern started by taking the doubles point with wins on courts 2 and 3. The Bulldogs' top doubles duo of Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington was on serve at No. 1 doubles before the match was halted. 

The Wildcats took all six singles matches in straight sets.  

The Bulldogs will be back in action tomorrow, traveling to West Lafayette to take on Purdue. That match will start at 2 p.m.
