On Sunday morning the Dawgs traveled to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana earned a 5-2 victory. 

Indiana was able to grab the doubles point with wins on courts 2 and 3. However, over on court 1 the Dawgs number one doubles duo of Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington were tied 6-6 and were preparing for a tiebreaker when their match was halted. 

Butler was able to earn two singles points. On court 1 junior Chase Metcalf was able to defeat Nicole Teodosescu 6-2, 6-4. On court 2 Norah Balthazor was able earn a point for the Dawgs by winning an extremely close match against Marina Fuduric 6-4, 7-5. 

Over on court No. 6, Sophomore Lauren Cook found herself in a close match facing off against Elisabeth Dunac. Cook was able to win a first-set tiebreaker 7-5, winning that opening set 7-6. She dropped the second set and with the team match already clinched for Indiana Cook and Dunac squared off in a tiebreaker. Cook ultimately fell in that tiebreaker 10-8. 

At No. 5 singles, senior Emma Beavin also found herself in a competitive match. She dropped the first set. After being down 5-2 in set two she fought all the way back and forced a second-set tiebreaker. Magdalena Swierczynska defeated Beavin in that tiebreaker, winning the match 6-3, 7-6.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday February 1st as they will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats. That match will start at 1:30 p.m.
