Derek Tabor, who carded one of the best single-round performances in program history, has been named BIG EAST Co-Men's Golfer of the Week. The conference office made the announcement Thursday, Oct. 23.

Tabor tied for second at the 2025 Dayton Flyer Invitational, which concluded Tuesday. He shot a six-under 207 over the 54 holes. He carded rounds of 65, 68 and 74 on the 7,004-yard NCR Country Club South Course in Kettering, Ohio. The opening-round, six-under 65 tied the third-best round in program history relative to par.

Tabor's performance led the Bulldogs to a tie for the team title at the Dayton Invitational. Butler has now posted Top-2 finishes in each of their five events this fall, also taking team titles at the season-opening Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate along with the Virtues Intercollegiate at the end of September.

This is Tabor's second conference weekly honor of the fall 2025 season and his career. He was also recognized Sept. 24.

Madison Reemsnyder of Xavier was named BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week, while Cayse Morgan of Xavier shared BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week honors with Tabor.

The Bulldogs close out the fall portion of the schedule Nov. 4-6, traveling to Hawaii to be compete in the Kapolei Invitational.
