Treva Dodd's record-setting performance and medalist honors at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic have earned her BIG EAST Golfer of the Week accolades. The conference office made the announcement Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Â
Dodd's effort also led the Bulldogs to the team title.
Â
Dodd's three-under 213 performance matches the program record relative to par for a 54-hole event, something she also accomplished last season at the 2024 Redbird Fall Invitational and Abigail Gleixner's 2016 Redbird Fall Invitational scorecard.
Â
Dodd's 73 Monday featured four birdies on the 6,019-yard Coyote Creek Golf Club course. Dodd's Sunday included rounds of 71 and 69 as she built her lead. Dodd registered five birdies in each of her rounds Sunday. Her five birdies in the second round came on five consecutive holes (holes 7-11).
Â
Butler's tournament-winning, 54-hole total of 882 (+18) included rounds of 303 and 281 Sunday and Monday's 298. The seven-under 281 in Sunday's afternoon round set a new 18-hole program record for the Bulldogs relative to par. Five of the top seven spots on the individual leaderboard belonged to Bulldogs.
Â
This is Dodd's first weekly BIG EAST honor of her career. She becomes the third Bulldog recognized already this fall as
Addi Kooi and
Ashley Freitas shared the honor last week.
Â
The Bulldogs close out the fall portion of the schedule next week (Oct. 13-14) at the Dayton Flyer Invitational.
