Butler Completes Day Two of Competition at House of Champions

INDIANAPOLIS - After day two at the House of Champions, Butler since in ninth place with 586.5 team points. The coaching staff named three swimmers of the day:
 
  • Ava Whittaker for her outstanding individual and relay swims today. Ava scored 14th place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.49, and she swam the fly leg of the 200 Medley Relay; her relay split was the fastest fly split in school history with a time of 24.60! 
  • Meghan Voelker swam the 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle individual events today, and in both events, she swam career-best times of 1:00.21 and 1:58.49, respectively! Additionally, her times qualify her to swim in the BIG EAST Championships meet at the end of the season! These are her first ever BIG EAST qualifying times.  
  • Caroline Zimner made swimmer of the day for the second day in a row based on her outstanding performance in the 400 IM, where she scored 10th at finals with a near lifetime best time of 4:26.99. Additionally, she was part of the team's 800 Free A Relay, where she led off with a time of 1:55.11.
