On Saturday afternoon Butler traveled to Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Cincinnati won the match 7-0. They were able to start quickly, earning the doubles point with wins on courts 2 and 3. Over on court 1, the duo of Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington found themselves trailing 5-4 before play was stopped due to the results of the other two matches. 

Cincinnati won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Over on court 4, after dropping the first set Brooke Arington won the second set 7-5, forcing a match tiebreaker. In the match tiebreaker, Cincinnati's Milica Popovski was able to defeat Arington, finalizing the Bearcats 7-0 victory.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Friday, February 7th. They will host Arkansas State at the Indianapolis Racquet Club. The match will start at 5:30 p.m.
