Butler Falls Short Against Creighton

Early Sunday morning the Butler Men's tennis team took on the Creighton Blue Jays. Creighton won the match 6-1. Butler falls to 5-4 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. 

The Blue Jays were able to earn the doubles point for the match thanks to wins on courts 1 and 2. However, on court 3 the duo of Nicholas Shirley and Patrick Joss were able to defeat Kirtan Patel and Zachary Kuo 6-2.  

The lone point that the Dawgs won today came courtesy of Patrick Joss. On the number 1 court Joss dropped the first set but was able to recover by winning the second set and the tiebreaker, defeating Alejandro Gandini 1-6, 6-2, 2-1. 

The Dawgs will be back in action Friday February 21st where they will travel to Kalamazoo Michigan to play two matches in one day. They will take on Western Michigan at 9 a.m. and Purdue Northwest at 1 p.m.
