Three Butler women's soccer players,
Talia Sommer, Léa Larouche, and
Gemma Gillespie, have been called up to compete on the international stage in late February.
Â
Sommer, a junior midfielder from Tel Aviv, Israel, is a long-time member of the Israel national team and will look to add caps to her impressive list of 24 appearances to date. She and the team are set to play two matches in the UEFA Nations League, vs. Bulgaria on Feb. 21 and vs. Estonia on Feb. 25.

Larouche, a freshman forward from Quebec, Canada, will compete for the Canada U-20 national team, and Gillespie, a freshman defender from Rolling Meadows, Illinois, will compete for the Puerto Rico U-20 national team. For both, this represents their first international call up at any level.
Â
Larouche and Gillespie will each be competing separately in three CONCACAF Championship qualification matches from February 20-25.
