The Butler swim team recorded 98 points in the first night of the 2025 BIG EAST Swim and Dive Championships Presented by JEEP. The 800 Free and 200 Medley Relay events signaled the start of the action.

Kate Schilling (1:50.19),
Caroline Zimner (1:51.72),
Elizabeth Naylor (1:54.22) and
Caitlin Herring (1:52.13) made the up 800 Free Relay team for Butler. They broke a school record by nearly six seconds to place fifth overall in the event with a time of 7:28.26! Schilling's lead-off leg broke her own school record in the 200 Free.

The 200 Medley Relay team included
Gianna Leffler (27.0 Back),
Kate Schilling (28.66 Breast),
Ava Whittaker (24.65 Fly), and
Olivia Stotts (23.57 Free). They posted the third-fastest time in school history by clocking in at 1:43.88 to earn sixth place. Whitaker came up with the fastest fly split in the school's 200 Medley Relay history!

Day two will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday with the prelims of the 500 free, 200 IM, and 50 free. The women's one-meter diving prelims will kick off at 1 p.m. Finals are scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
