Butler Concludes Busy Saturday at Fairgrounds Invitational

The Butler track and field team competed in their final meet at the Fall Creek Pavilion for the Fairgrounds Invitational.

Freshman Charlie Jones posted a mark of 8:23.95 in the men's 3,000 meters to take second while earning a new personal best.

Senior Renate Toldo scratched another second off her personal best in the women's mile at 4:50.32 to place second. Junior Jenna Doezema also secured second in the women's 400 meters after recording a time of 56.42.

Other top Bulldog performers included:
  • Luke Walden finished third in the men's pole vault at 4.70 meters
  • Cabott Craft made the podium again in both the men's long jump (2nd, 14.18 meters) and triple jump (3rd, 6.99 meters)
  • Sean Davies earned third in the men's high jump with a mark of 1.85 meters
Butler will hit the road to Boston, Mass. next weekend for the David Hemery Valentine Invite beginning on Feb. 14.
