Butler Loses Match at Purdue

On Saturday afternoon the Butler Men's Tennis team traveled to West Lafayette to take on the Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue won the match 6-1. Butler falls to 6-7 on the season. 

Purdue started fast, they won the doubles point with wins on courts 1 and 3. Additionally, Purdue was ahead on court 2 before play was stopped due to the results of the other matches. 

As for singles, on courts 1 through 5 Purdue was able to win each match in straight sets. The lone point the Dawgs won came thanks to Aidan William. On court 6 William dropped the first set but was able to come from behind to win the second set and the tiebreaker to defeat Mujtaba Ali-khan 2-6, 6-4, 10-8. 

The Dawgs will have some time off and return March 14th where they will travel to Pennsylvania to take on the Villanova Wildcats.
