New Program Records in the Women’s Relays Highlight the Final Day of BIG EAST Indoor Championships

The Butler track and field team wrapped up competition at the final day of the BIG EAST Indoor Championships. 

Both the women's 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams each etched their names in the history books after breaking the school records.

The 4x400 relay quartet of Abby Brennan, Jocelyn Davis, Jenna Doezema, and Clara Reynolds set the record with a mark 4:56.91 that had stood since 2020. For the 4x800 relays, Camille El Baghouli, Allie Minier, Ashley Learn and Renate Toldo crushed the previous program best time from 2020 by over five seconds crossing the line at 8:54.00.

The Bulldog men placed sixth out of eight teams with a score of 53 points while the women finished eighth out of 10 teams with a score of 25 points.

The Bulldogs will wait to see if any individuals had qualifying times for the NCAA Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. on Mar. 14-15. For the rest of the team, they will gear up for the outdoor season beginning at the Blizzard Buster in Miami, Ohio on Mar. 21.
